M : Have you heard?  The city is planning to stop the shuttle bus service.
R : What a shame.  Some people depend on it to get around.
M : Not enough people do, apparently.  Itʼs been in the red for quite a while.
R : Has it, now.  Fares donʼt cover gas and wages?
M : No.  Very few people ride it.
K : The city should pay the difference.  Some elderly people canʼt drive.  They need that service.
M : I donʼt know.  If the city does that, they will have to take funding away from public schools for it.
K : The schools?  Even now our school doesnʼt have enough sports equipment.
R : I agree.  Less money to the schools would be a disaster.  But, I wish there were a way.
S : How about raising the money somehow?
K : What a great idea!  We could hold a fund-raising event.
R : That sounds lovely.  Iʼm sure everyone will want to take part.
