T : Next, we will refute the other sideʼs opinions.  Say which opinion you are refuting, give your refutation, then give an example.  Letʼs start with the negative side.
D : They said that digital books are convenient, but I donʼt think itʼs a big advantage.  We donʼt always need all of our books with us.  Just one book is enough.
T : Very good, Daiki: “Not a significant advantage.”
H : They said that digital books are easy to buy.  Thatʼs true, but I think paper books are enjoyable to buy.  Online, we canʼt pick up books to see if we are interested, or browse in a bookstore.
T : Good example, Haruna. How about the affirmative side?
N : They said that paper books are better for research.  I disagree.
From a digital book, itʼs easy to open links to other resources on the Internet, and we can attach long comments to the pages.  I think digital books are better for research.
T : Very nice, Naoko.  Anyone else?
R : They said that paper books are good for the environment.  Itʼs true that they donʼt use electricity, but paper comes from trees.
Trees are also important against global warming.
T : Good job, everyone.  We have one refutation for each reason.
